What is tulamore whiskey?

Tullamore Dew is a blended Irish whiskey produced by the William Grant & Sons group. The whiskey is made from a blend of triple distilled grains, malted barley, and a combination of pot still and grain whiskey. It is then matured in a combination of bourbon and sherry casks to give it a smooth and complex taste with hints of fruit and spice.

Tullamore Dew was first produced in Tullamore, County Offaly, Ireland in 1829 by a man named Michael Molloy. The brand has since become one of the top-selling Irish whiskey brands in the world.

In 2014, William Grant & Sons opened the Tullamore Dew Distillery in the town of Tullamore, marking the return of whiskey production to the area after a 60-year hiatus. The distillery allows visitors to learn about the history of the brand and the production process of the whiskey, as well as enjoy tastings of the different Tullamore Dew expressions.
